The subject that intrigues me is the passing of time and the temporality of our existence.
To address this idea I started taking a picture on a daily basis as an attempt to create a series of images that will capture instances of my life. I am recording a particular moment that intrigues me more on that day. The moments I wish to capture are related to temporality, fragility and the ephemeral. By doing so I attempt to momentarily pause the fast pace of my everyday life, take a look at the small details that surround me and preserve a moment that ordinarily would have gone unnoticed.
At the same time, I got interested in taking pictures that have incidental or slightly constructed by me images of lines, cracks or threads, thinking that, organising them all together, would make a long continuous line. In this way and for the Work In Progress show at the RCA I managed to give a sense of a path, a series of images and small objects that came together, even though being fragmented and separated, to give an idea of a journey, almost part of a calendar or personal memories.
